Operation Principle:

The Sandwich 6000 and 8000 machines are capable of producing round, square and rectangular ice cream sandwiches with capacities of up to 8,000 products per hour.Ice cream from the continuous freezer enters the vertical extrusion nozzle station. Biscuits are loaded into the biscuit dispensers. The bottom biscuit is automatically dispensed onto the continuously moving conveyor. A hot wire cuts a slice of ice cream of pre-determined thickness, which is placed onto the bottom biscuit.

Should a damaged biscuit or no biscuit at all be dispensed, the unique “no biscuit – no ice cream” control system will remove the ice cream and possible biscuit remains from the conveyor, which ensures a clean conveyor at all times.

If biscuit and ice cream are properly placed on the conveyor, the product will automatically be conveyed to receive a top biscuit, and then enters into our Versa-Pak wrapper. This system is capable of using a wide variety of wrapping material such as hot seal, cold steal, paper, poly films, and picture-inplace wrapping materials. Finally, the fully wrapped product is horizontally discharged.
